Helipath: A tool for mappers to generate a helicopter path

Helipath is a tool for COD4 mappers to quickly generate a working helicopter path.
The generated helicopter path has an ellipse shape.
The mapper can choose to save the helicopter path as a prefab that can be imported
in Radiant or to directly save the helicopter path to a map file. The helicopter path can later be fine tuned in Radiant.

To create a helicopter path the mapper needs to at least supply the coordinates of
two opposite corners of the map (this can be for example the coordinates of the minimap corners).
The mapper also needs to supply the height of the playing area and an offset to that to determine the height of the helicopter path. All other options can be left to default values.

Is it possible to use origins for a smoother travel, when turning the helicopter etc?

There has been reported some behaviour of the helicopter turning at each node.
You can fix this by changing the rotation of the script origins I assume.
The tool just creates script origins that can be modified in radiant.

There wont be a fix in the tool itself for a while because I dont have time in the upcoming months to work on it

If you just want a smoother path you can add more nodes in the circle path ('nodes circle' parameter in the tool).
If you use 100 nodes you have a near perfect ellipse. But it is recommended to keep the amount of nodes reasonable (say no more than 30 or so)

You could just send a pm to Maggy and he can remove it from cfgfactory

still nice tool, really useful for mapping.

I have reported it so I expect it to get removed soon.
Looks like this is the third file he will get removed this week looking at his history, time for a ban if you ask me :)
