lyrics
Abgrund Lyrics Can't you see that? We're falling back into the Middle Ages! In times of violence and torture, slave drivers and administrators. Of the weal and woe of all the powerless millions who live in garbage and misery, who live in poverty, war and hunger. Did you notice anything? Epidemics have been around for a long time! One gladly accepts them, whole peoples go down. Heads strictly stick to their teachings, of course - whoever has AIDS has nothing to report, can no longer defend themselves. Fundamentalists travel the world with their boxes of hatred and dynamite, keeping up with the defenses. There is a market for apocalyptic weapons, while we are just standing next to it, discussing and gawking, seers and prophets have long seen the glimmer of fire on the horizon, but this time it will get worse, because it can never be more global! What madness makes us believe that we are still over it and best just go on like that? ...? Refrain Ey wake up, we have reached our goal, it was a bad game, we played too much poker, now we are standing in front of the ABYSS! Hey, wake up it's going on, now it's our turn, we took a long run-up, now we're jumping into the ABYSS! Better get up, there's a lot going on, it was a dark time, we always went too far, now we're standing in front of the ABYSS! Better get out as long as it is possible, if we keep turning around ourselves, in the end we ourselves are the great ABYSS! Bridge By no means will you die! You will be like God and will inherit knowledge of good and bad, life and death. You will be like God, believe me, you will be like God! Have you heard? The peoples are migrating again! Wandering around and singing lamentations, I see whole countries that go up in flames, wither in the heat or stand under water. Shredded by storms, corroded by acid rain and then decomposed by poverty, are no longer habitable. There is a death wind blowing over the forests that are now deserts, which do not even offer protection for man and his child. As always, it hits the poorest worst, the rich the least, I'd like to see if they still grinned like that, if they were ever served up that it would soon catch them too, that the line had long since been blurred. Nobody comes here quickly but unfortunately it always hits those who can't help it. We die while partying and die drunk, there are few who play god but everyone is affected ...! Refrain Bridge Have you heard? Billionaires are back! Numerous and honest and they sing victory songs. Have you ever seen money really work? Not me yet, but I hear men, women and children moaning under the burden of the hard labor that feeds them. Maybe it's them who increase your money and what's your money - it's paper and metal, forget it, it's all digital, virtual, only numbers, nobody wants to imagine what happens, when everything that keeps us alive is transformed and your shitty money is forfeited and we are cheated, only briefly introduced to this world ...! refrain Women and children groan under the burden of the forced labor that feeds them. Maybe it's them who increase your money and what's your money - it's paper and metal, forget it, it's all digital, virtual, only numbers, nobody wants to imagine what happens, when everything that keeps us alive is transformed and your shitty money is forfeited and we are cheated, only briefly introduced to this world ...! refrain converted is your shitty money, which expires and we are cheated, only briefly introduced to this world ...! refrain converted is your shitty money, which expires and we are cheated, only briefly introduced to this world ...! refrain

I get goosebumps every time I hear the song

When I was 14 I thought that I’d be famous in a year
Didn’t have a lot talent but my vision was clear
Submissive of fear
I steered towards releasing on the internet
Couple years later went to college growing into debt
I had a hundred songs out
Recorded on computer mics
Saved up for a blue yeti
Got to work and hit the lights
11th grade
I knew my music was a pulled grenade
Was so afraid of being laughed at
The jokes were over played
They made me out to be that kid in high school who tried to rap
But I saw they lacked potential wasn’t falling for that trap
And I had a girlfriend to
I was young and getting ass for the first time
And like men do
All my energy was focused on her body not the soul
Didn’t write a lot of lyrics and the music took a toll
Had to get it in control
So we broke up
Was 17
Low self esteem so we smoke up
Now senior approaches
I’m trying make this music happen while I’m ashing roaches
Football was everyday I listened to my coaches
But every night my drive to write ferocious
And I started hanging with this girl who played with my emotions
She’s the type to get you hypnotized
Meanwhile my best friend was messing prescription telling instant lies
Yeah I saw it in his eyes
But I thought he’d make it out
Too caught up in my own world
While he went the route
Every night I’d think about my homie when I wrote a song
Another day pass by
Another where my hope was strong
Searching for that record deal
Used to lucid dream so much so I could see my vision in my sleep until its real
Like I said I went to college on a scholarship
Til that girl did me wrong felt like a hollow tip
Shot through my stomach
I used emotion to make songs cause otherwise I’d plummet
And instead of running from it
I would run directly add it
For this game I am an addict and my rise has been dramatic
I remember watching sway in the morning and wishing that is was me
Didn’t care for education or some worthless degree
I wanted to flee
So I would inside and write the truth
Only happiness I found was isolation in a booth
Long durations of my youth were spent mimicking the legends
Like The Beatles and sam cooke they felt like my brethren
I am destined for success yeah I’ve know since an adolescent
Since the first day I made a song never second guessed it
The day that I had opened up for DMX
Was the craziest experience
Mind went delirious
A thousand people in the room listened when I started rapping
Felt good to be the captain
Beat dropped I started snapping
Sets done they started clapping
I was elated
Never could be jaded
Every time I’m frustrated
I just pray to world and know I’m gonna be rewarded
I’ve stuck it out through thick and thin and never once aborted
Last summer I had moved out the house where I grew up
Cause a fight that blew up
Not the plan that I drew up
So I through all my belongings in my car and I drove away
Looking for a place to stay
Dark time in my life but I knew I’d find the way
My girl was always there
Life has been so up and down but all she ever did was a care
But she was at college so no I couldn’t stay with her
So I bounced around a couple couches trying to find a cure
Then this guy named Tim took me in he’s my friends dad
Didn’t wanna stay long always felt so bad
So I stayed with my homie tay and his grandmother
She held it down like no one other
Again I overstayed my welcome so I made it back to Tim’s place
I really felt at home there
Came into my own there
Was so rare
To find a time where I could have a father figure
Closest thing I’ve ever had now our bond is growing bigger
I love my mom yeah we talked every day
But I had to whats right she understood in a way
This is what i needed If I really wanna succeed
She’s kept me grounded to reality and planted the seed
So much greed in this world but she spoke very generous
Now I know my flow very venomous
And cause of that I got accepted to a school in harlem
That would let me work on music all the pieces fall together like its autumn
So I left Tim’s after half a year
I was ready for the city opportunity appear
Day one in the city I performed at a small club
Ripped apart my verses and they showed love
This dude came up to me and gave me his number and told me that his is name is Johnny
And he wants to help my vision he could put me with somebody
But I thought that he was full of shit like everybody been before
But come to find his name is Johnny Nunez he had been on tour with jay z and Rockefeller
Taken shots of every artist
Big name photographer come to learn he worked the hardest
He brought me up to a room of people to spit verse
All of em were asking who i was started moving with a buzz
This guy said he rich said he wants me on sway in the morning
And he’d make it happen
In a snap
Dreams are pouring in my lap
I know my path is rap not a question
I got there cause of what I earned and without a bad suggestion
So I went on sways show and spit a 5 minute verse
I rehearsed so much times
So many rhymes back to had to craft it to a dime
Got respect from sway
I can’t describe the way I felt that day
Fast forward I’m on MTV with rick ross it’s crazy as fuck
My dream is really gonna happen not a product of luck
Because i spent so many hours in my basement alone
Tryna craft the music that you listen to on your phone
And no I never thought to quit I knew where this go
But it takes a long time for the people to know
I’m my own man I got a plan that I’ll run with
Gotta make sure whatever you do you have fun with …
We are just a product of the person that we choose to be
And I’m a different man then the person that you used to see
